Beach Wedding Malta
Beach weddings are a very popular option for destination weddings in Malta. However while Malta is surrounded by beaches there are very few options which are ideal to carry out a beach wedding. Most beaches are public and in Malta beaches are very popular. Thus unless you want to share the beach with dozens of other groups carrying out barbecues and parties, public beaches are not advisable.
So being that private beaches are the only viable option than it depends on what the private beach operator can offer you for the wedding. For example some private beach operators still allow their patrons to use the facility and thus the beach wedding will not be very private. Others can give you full privacy but the price tag will end up too high.
In our opinion the most recommended beach wedding venues in Malta are two:
This first option is Maltinero Beach which consists of a small sandy beach adjacent to a paved area. This allows for a very practical set up where the bride and groom can have the civil wedding ceremony on the sandy area and then have a meal and after party on the paved area. Also the beach is private and thus the wedding guests can enjoy the whole area without disturbance. This also gives the couple a number of options when it comes to entertainment. For example they could hire a DJ or band without any hassle. This wedding venue is wheelchair accessible and is great for wedding parties with kids since the area is completely enclosed.

The second option is The View which offers an amazing location for both civil ceremony as well and wedding party and dinner right on the water’s edge. The wedding venue is quite flexible and can easily be adopted for both small and larger weddings. As with Maltinero Beach, The View is private however it does not offer a sandy beach area. Also here you can have a number of entertainment options from DJ to bands to fire jugglers. The terrace situated on the water’s edge is accessible by a flight of stairs and thus not wheelchair accessible.
